In order to establish and grow the company, Rhys received support from a variety of support agencies, including Finance Wales, Local Authority, Banks, and the Enterprise Hub @ M-SParc. This emphasises the importance of asking for support, and not being afraid to seek help to set up your business.

“If I could offer any advice, it would be to stay focused and determined on your goal. I would also try and secure more funding when it’s not critical, to avoid any financial stressors at key moments. Building a good team is also essential, as is seeking mentoring support early.”

Support such as that which can be offered by the Enterprise Hub.

Hub Coordinator Sara Roberts said “Rhys has identified the kind of support his company needs, and has gone out to secure that support. That’s exactly what organisations like the Enterprise Hub are here for. The PharmaGroup team have made use of the café space in M-SParc for networking, made the most of our workshops and events, and become part of the community. As we always say, you can’t grow a business alone, and time and again we see that those companies who go out to seek support and integrate into the business community, see that rewarded in terms of success.”
